We Are Trayvon.

After a lot of thought I wanted to post a tribute pic to show my support to the Martin family.  All I pray for is justice for Trayvon, his family and all the other victims to this type of violence.  Here's to Justice.

Dear Blog..

Both this week week and the week before have been pretty stressful but I'm glad to say that everything turned out how it did.  My husbands surgery went faster than expected and although his condition turned out to be worse this time around, his doctor was able to take care of everything quickly.  So praise God that my love is at home and is recovering.  I really don't know what more to say but that God is good and that I'm super thankful that he's been taking care of us the way that he has.

Being without the grace of God is a lonely place that I once found myself and I don't plan to go back there ever again.  I tried and tried to live my life for myself but it OBVIOUSLY was just NOT working for me at all so after months and months of frustration I finally just gave everything up to God and decided right then and there that I was going to do everything that I could to please him.  And not long after I made that choice for my life so many awesome things have happened for us, praise God!

And it's not even about the rewards that I get for being obedient to him but the simple fact of being one with him.  That's the sweetest feeling ever to know that God is pleased with everything that you're doing in your life.

I really don't know why I decided to write that but I guess it needed to be said somewhere lol.

When it comes to my creations I'm still working on several blankets and will gladly show you the finished products once they are done.  Well I have to braid up my hair and clear off the bed so the husband and I can finally have movie night:->

Glacier Thick & Quick Cowl.

Thick & Quick Cowl

Being that we are still in the cold months of the year the scarf and hat wearing days aren't over yet so I decided to make another quick cowl to finish an outfit that I plan to wear later on this week.  I used Lion Brand wool-ease thick and quick yarn.  It came out super cute!

When it came to making this cowl I made a chain to the length of my liking then I started a hdc in the second ch from hook all the way across.  From there I made a sl st in the beginning ch and repeated that all the way around until I felt like stopping.  Oh!  And I used an N hook for the cowl.  I actually like to use the N hook for most of the cowls that I make.  Well I just wanted to share todays' project with you and I'll be back to show you babyloves' blanket that I finished.  Be Blessed & Be Inspired!

Easter Blanket #1 Is Well On It's Way!

Well I just wanted to share  some pics of an easter blanket that I'm doing for one of my girls:->  All the blankets, once they're done, will be neatly folded and placed underneath the baskets that will be made my my husband and myself.

When it comes to the pattern for the blankets that I'm making, I decided to go with a large granny square blanket once again only because it's simple to make and with the pattern being  so simple I'm able to play around with the colors a bit more.  I'm currently adding on the fringes so once they are all attached I'll be sure to post a pic of the blanket as a whole.  I also plan to add two smaller flowers to the the corner of the blanket that way the flower I have on the blanket now won't look so lonely

The pattern for the flower that is seen here was found on Ravelry.com.  Here's the link => http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/headband-with-flower  The pattern itself is very easy to follow and it works up rather quickly which is always a BIG pluss.

Well I have to get going so Be Blessed & Be Inspired!!

Two shirts from husband:->

Two Awesome Gifts From My Husband

I just wanted to share a couple of pics of two shirts that were given to me from my Husband.:->  Thank you baby!

One busy weekend!

This weekend has been pretty hectic and busy but I'm very thankful  that we survived and that it's over!  With that said it was also fun and rewarding because I was able to spend Sunday afternoon with my dear friend to celebrate her birthday. And then my  husband, kids and myself spent a whole day shopping for clothes and other misc. things.   Although most of the congregation was late due to the time change, Pastors' message was AMAZING and I'm extremely excited to go back on Thursday to hear what more God has in store for us.

Before I sign off I must say that, thanks to Mommy and Pastor Liz, I have a new found liking for the book of Genisus.  I haven't finished the whole book yet but I plan to by either tonight or tomorrow.  Well I just wanted to write to you to wish you a beautiful and blessed week so Be Blessed & Be Inspired.

What a wonderful day to Create!

Hello and good day to all!  This past week and weekend have had it's ups and downs but it turned out to be a very enjoyable time for my family because we were able to celebrate  BabyLoves' birthday which was a lot of fun.  I honestly didn't think we were going to be able to have that day yesterday because babylove had been sick that week with a pretty nasty cold and I wasn't sure if she was going to be able to celebrate her birthday with.  But by Gods grace she was feeling well enough to enjoy the day of yummy pasta and her Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday cake.

Well I just wanted to share a few pics of the finished gifts I made for her so here they are!  Be Blessed & Be Inspired!!

My Very First Owl Hat!

Okay so I decided that I wasn't going to be intimidated anymore about making animal hats for the kids, since this was something that I've been wanting to do for a while.  So I put my big brave momma boots on and dove into making my first owl hat for Bubbasour and even though it looks NOTHING like an owl I'm still EXTREMELY proud of myself because I think I did pretty darn well on this hat being that it was my very first time to making anything like this.  I noted everything that I did wrong and plan to go back to this pattern again to make owl hat #2 to fix the mistakes that I did make.

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/free-owl-earflap-hat  This link will take you directly to the page where I found this pattern so if you're wanting to try a cute hat, then try this pattern.  It works up rather quickly and the instructions are golden.  Well  I have a birthday cake to pick up and some things to do to get ready for missy poos birthday so Be Blessed & Be Inspired!

BabyLove's Birthday Cowl In The Making!

Well after finishing babys' birthday dress I wanted to go ahead and finish a matching cowl as well and it turned out super cute.  The pattern that I decided to use this time around is the same pattern that I have used before and, as a matter of fact, I previously posted the link where you can find the pattern for the cowl.  But of course I'll post it again in this post as well.

I made a few changes to the pattern to make it my own but it came out beautifully, so now I'll I"m doing now is adding on a flower(s) to make it scream "BABYLOVE".  I already added one but I'm trying to decide on where I want to add on one more flower.  I wanted to ask my husband for his opinion but he's fast asleep, poor thing, SO I'm trying to make up my mind by myself.

Here's the link to the blog where I got this pattern!   http://crochetincolor.blogspot.com/2011/11/effortless-cowl.html
