Knitted baby blanket #4!

Hey there readers:-)  I just finished knitting this blanket and crocheting the border yesterday afternoon, and  I am very pleased with how it turned out.  The border wasn't included in the pattern but I felt that it needed a little something more so I decided to get a little creative myself.  The length of the blanket was also changed because I just didn't feel like knitting for any longer.  The pattern called for the blanket to  be knitted until it reached 44 inches and I worked it until it reached 25 1/2 inches.

If you want to try a fairly easy knitting project then pick this book up from your local crafting store or amazon.com

My new hair stuff is here!

Well hello there how are you doing?  I recently posted a video on youtube and shared the video on my blog of all the fun hair products that I purchased today but I also wanted to go ahead and write a little something about them as well.

The first product that I picked up from Stater Bros. was the VO5 Repair and Protect Strengthening Shampoo and the reason why I decided to try this shampoo out was because, after several weeks of wearing a wash and go hair style, I felt like I needed some type of a shampoo with a sulfate to help get the extra dirt and gunk out of my hair that my clarifying conditioners failed to get rid of.  So at first I said that I was going to get a Herbal Essence shampoo but I decided to go for a shampoo that I was 99 cents instead.  I also got the VO5 Repair and Protect Strengthening Conditioner and the VO5 Silky Experiences Island Coconut Moisturizing Conditioner  with the 5 essential vitamins.

Alberto VO5 Repair & Protect Strengthing Shampoo

What five vitamins are in this conditioner?
*Vitamin E  promotes scalp circulation and restores moisture
*Vitamin H  promotes thicker and stronger hair
*Vitamin C  protects hair from UV rays
*Vitamin B5 a moisturizer/humecant that readily binds to hair
*Vitamin B3 moisturizes and promotes hair growth

These vitamins are things that I look for within any conditioner that I use because these are the items that I want helping my hair to be the best that it can be.

Now when I went to Sally's I picked up a bunch of colorful rubber bands for my girls and the Eco Styling Gel with the argan oil for myself.  I haven't tried this gel yet but I have heard some pretty good things about this product so I hope that it doesn't let my hair down.  It usually runs for $4.99 at my local Sally's but they were having a sale on this product so I was blessed to purchase it today for only $3.99.

Eco Styler Argan Oil Styling Gel 12 oz

Well that concludes what all I purchased today for my hair so I'll be sure to share my thoughts with you on the these products tomorrow.  Hopefully I'll have nothing but great things to say but we will have to wait and see.

Be blessed and I'll be back in a bit:-)

Just in case you didn't know, I love to knit.

A beautiful blanket that I'm working on at the moment.  The pattern calls for me to use two strands of yarn through out the entire blanket but I'm working with a single strand of yarn instead.  The book was purchased at my local crafting store for under ten dollars.

Hair success is always sweet!

Well hello blog!  I'm super excited to randomly announce that I have been successful in getting my w&g to last a total of four days straight!  Now I know that this isn't great news for everyone but it surely is for me, because I personally have been having such a difficult time with trying to get my w&gs to last for more than two to three days.

Now I tried misting my hair very lightly with water then placing a plastic bag over my hair for the night, but that ended up turning my wash and go into a straight poof ball.  So I decided to go back to my original way of life and wrapped my hair in my slip and placed a bonnet over my head for the night and my hair has been holding up just wonderfully.  I'm not one to put a lot of product in my hair in between washes so the only two things that I put in my hair, IF I feel my hair needs them, are the oil(s) of my choice and a mist of water!!

I'm just hoping that this w&g trial will be great for my hair because if it is I'll probably be doing this style  A LOT more often because my hair and I need a break from the twist.  I mean I love my twist out styles and I can't wait to twist my hair again but I'm definitely spoiled with how my hair is now.  Well I gotta get back to work but I'll be sure to post pictures soon!!  Be blessed!

Day four of my w&g!
