Protecting My Natural Hair In Style!!!

Good morning!  It's been a little while since I've updated my blog on how my hair is doing and what I've been doing to it so here's an update!!

I've been natural for almost ten years now and trying to find new and exciting styles to try without using heat has been my number one goal for some time now.  Due to it being super duper hot outside at the moment hair units and head wraps, for the most part, are out of the question so I've been working on keeping my hair out more often.

This isn't a tutorial but a show and tell of how I turned this
very dry and dull looking hair

into a stylish and very moisturized work of art!

To get the results that I got a stretched out freshly washed and conditioned hair over a weeks time that way I wouldn't have to worry about using a blow dryer.  I still could have done this on freshly washed hair without stretching my hair over time but I wouldn't have gotten as much volume.

Once I was ready I prepped my hair the night before by sectioning my hair in 6 sections and did the LOC method with water, Blue Magic and Eden Body Works Curl Definition Creme on each section individually.  I then twisted all six of my sections and light stretched them a little bit and secured the twists with bobby pins so that my twists would remain secure over night.

On the next morning I took apart each section, lightly sprayed my hair with water,  and picked out my roots with a pick to help elongate my hair and bring more volume to my hair.  I then took a brush and lightly brushed each section so that those sections would have a nice finished look then I rolled and pinned those sections.

I've learned to do this over time and it doesn't matter, at least for me, how my parts are but my roll and tucking need to be as neat as possible.  Now I don't do this style every day because I don't like putting too much stress on my hair all too often, so this is a fun weekend style I love to have fun with.

Well that's all the update I have for now on my hair so hopefully I'll be back to write a product review for ya'll since recording has become difficult due to my lovely kiddos keeping me busy:-)

If you've done a roll tuck and pin hair style share your results!!

Be Blessed!
