My Version Of A Infant Cap




Well I wanted to make some hats for charity so I went ahead and used an existing pattern for the elf hats and made my own for the beanie.  So here it is.




You'll need:  The yarn of your choice(I used Redheart Super Saver), j hook

Start with a magic circle, ch2, 6dc in loop, pull string to tighten and slip stitch in beginning ch, ch2
R1) 2dc in every stitch around, sl st in beginning ch, ch2
R2)*2dc in first stitch, dc in next stitch* repeat from*all the way around and sl st in beginning ch. ch2
R3)2dc in first stitch, *dc in next two stitches,2dc in next stitch* repeat from * all the way around, sl st in beginning ch. ch2

R3)2dc in first stitch, *dc in next three stitches, 2dc in next stitch. repeat from * all the way around and sl st in beginning ch. ch2

R4)2dc in first stitch, *dc in next four stitches, 2dc in next stitch.  Repeat from * all the way around.  sl st in beginning ch. ch2

R5)2dc in first stitch *dc in next five stitches, 2dc in next stitch.  Repeat from * all the way around. sl st in beginning ch. ch2

R6-10) dc all the way around, sl st in beginning ch, ch2

R11-R12) *fpdc, bpdc* all the way around sl st in beginning ch2.  At the end of R12 bind off.
